世界をリードする社会科学データ分析手法のトレーニングを提供するエセックスサマースクール (ESS) in SSDAは1967年に開講しました。2016年にエセックス大学と共同で実現したESS@WASEDAは毎年夏に早稲田キャンパスで開催され、早稲田で世界水準の教育を受けられる貴重な機会となっています。2021年と2022年はオンライン開催となりました。（ESS@WASEDAの受講レポートは「活動報告」を参照）

The Essex Summer School (ESS) in Social Science Data Analysis (SSDA) provides world-leading social science methods training to postgraduate research students. Operating since 1967, it has connected social science communities around the world. ESS@WASEDA, which started in 2016 in collaboration with the University of ESSEX, was held every summer at Waseda Campus until 2019, providing unique opportunities for students to receive a world-class education at Waseda. SUMMER PROGRAM
ICPSR (Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research) はアメリカ・ミシガン大学社会調査研究所により1962年に設立された政治・社会調査のための大学協会で、世界各国・国際組織から収集した膨大な量の社会科学に関する調査の個票データを収蔵しています。ICPSRが毎年ミシガン大学で開講するサマープログラム(Summer Program in Quantitative Methods of Social Research)には、社会科学のための研究設計、統計手法、データ分析について基礎的な方法論、技術訓練から特定分野の高度な研究まで幅広くかつ総合的なカリキュラムが設定されています。(link)

Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR), established in 1962 by the University of Michigan Institute for Social Research, maintains a data archive of more than 250,000 files of research in the social and behavioral sciences.
ICPSR’s educational activities include the Summer Program in Quantitative Methods of Social Research, a comprehensive curriculum of intensive courses in research design, statistics, data analysis, and social methodology. (link)

QTEMプロジェクトは主にヨーロッパおよびアジアの経済・経営系大学院による共同スキームで、国際社会で活躍する人材育成を目的として2014年に構築されました。学生は留学先の協定校で数量的手法に特化したカリキュラムを履修できる他、インターンシップへの参加の道も開かれています。QTEMには現在20を超える教育機関の他、多くの国際的な企業が参加しています。(link)

The QTEM was established in 2014 to nurture highly skilled Master’s students who can take an initiative in the international community. The QTEM Master offers a unique learning experience by providing participants with: strong foundations in management or economics, strong background in quantitative and analytical skills and the techniques applied to management or economics, strong international exposure through two study stays abroad at two prestigious institutions from the network of Academic Partners, and strong immersion in the reality of industry through a company internship.
